Why Goal setting is so important?

There is no aliveness in life if there is no purpose or no goal to achieve. When We don’t have our own goals, means We support others to achieve their Goals. When we achieve Goals for someone else, We may be happy because We are get paid to do certain type of job, however that job after few months or years would be tiresome, monotonous. We lose charm to perform our duties because We don’t enjoy it. Why?? Because We are working to achieve someone else’s Goal.

So Idea is to have your Own Goals and a plan to achieve it. There would be sustainable happiness and aliveness in the life, because We will follow our own interest, our own passion. Lets also understand what are short term and long term goals as well as personal and professional goals.

We can understand the importance of deciding and achieving a goal through this example : If someone sets his/her own financial goal and achieves it. That achievement will bring him financial independency, happiness and power. That’s why deciding a goal is foremost important.

What are Short Term Goals

A Short Term Goal is something that you want to accomplish soon, means getting a task done near future. When We say near future that means today, tomorrow or next week or by end of the month or end of the year. Example : Earn a new certificate or degree or paying all debts before end of the year.

What are Long Term Goals

Long terms goals require more time and proper planning to accomplish. A month or even a year is not sufficient to achieve long terms goals, it takes several years to accomplish long awaited targets. Lets understand this way, a school going girl has completed her studies and now looking for counselling and decide which career oriented study she should go for. Whether She wants to become a doctor, advocate, or an engineer, this would take good 5 to 6 years to accomplish her long term goal.

What are Personal Goals?

As We know Personal means for yourself, a desire to achieve a goal because you are emotionally attached to it. The example of personal goals are losing weight, cultivating confidence, public speaking, avoid postponing work , Being the volunteer of charity, finding a soulmate and getting married as soon or cultivating habit of waking up early.

What are Professional Goals?

Professional goals are your career goals, to develop your career where you become specific and take measurable actions step by step. Some examples of professional goals are : Getting a dream job, Increase earning, attaining leadership role, being financially independent, to become a better presenter etc.

What is mind Concentration?

Mind Concentration means control on attention, in other words when mind is fully focused on one object, subject or thought without being distracted. It is an art to pay attention on one thing, at the same time ignoring unwanted things, which don’t matter while focusing.

What happens when Mind is fully Concentrated

A concentrated mind can do wonders, it can do all the things that possibly you think. All the worldly things are just a cake walk for focused mind. It saves time, energy, emotion and money if the mind is calm and peaceful. Other then that, if it is question of getting a dream job, good grades in school or college, name, fame, health and beauty, all things can be availed in a shortest period of time because mind is concentrated, calm and stable.
